Part Two: Give it a go! (15 minutes)
Print out a copy of the following image attached. Step 1: Annotate the denotations (you will need at least 4) Step 2: Annotate the connotations Step 3: Annotate the purpose of these denotation/ connotations. (How does it position the reader to think or feel?) Step 4: Divide your denotations into TWO ideas/arguments. |
Part Three: Practise writing!
Write a paragraph analysing the images from Part Two. It should include:

Part Four: Do it on your own!
Find your own image related to the debate: Is Australia racist? Complete an image analysis. OR Complete an entire language analysis response using the following article. Don't forget to include the image paragraph. |
