Hi guys,
Sorry I'm missing our class again but there's plenty for you to do while I'm away. 1. Make sure your story grid is up to date for the following stories from 'Will you please be quiet, please?' by Raymond Carver. You should get into small groups to continue discussions about the stories that we haven't read in class.
2. Continue working on KK2- it's due on Wednesday 25th February. FINALLY, MANY OF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED KK1 (THIS IS IN SHOUTY CAPITAL LETTERS AS IT'S LATE!!!) IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE DETENTION AFTER SCHOOL THEN SUBMIT IT TODAY. See you next week :)

Hi guys,
Unfortunately I am not at school today - but don't fear, there is work for you to do! Firstly, it would be great if you could all jump into a group, or two groups and have a quick discussion about Jerry, Molly and Sam. Please ensure that you fill out your story grid for this. You should also read Night school and the Student's Wife for Tuesday. Next, if you haven't finished KK1, get on it. It's due tomorrow (submit via studyturf). And lastly, KK2 is ready to rock and roll. It looks at the motifs we discussed in Neighbours and Nobody Said Anything in a bit more detail. I hope you use your time well. If you have questions or issues, please email me. Cheers, Tiffany. Please complete the following work during Friday's class.
1. Re-read Night School and The father. 2. Have a discussion within a small group about the meaning/message, any new ideas that they bring up in Carver's work. 3. Complete the grid you were given on Wednesday for these two stories. You should also have it completed for Neighbours and Nobody said anything. 4. Work on KK1- due Wednesday 18th Feb. Any questions, please let me know by email :) 8.50am Harley Gook 9.00am Seb Russo 9.10am Caleb Williams 9.30am Arch Crawley 9.40am Bailey Holman 9.50am Sarah Voss 10.00am Jayme Cross BREAK 10.40am Jesse Davis 10.50am Brandon McKenzie 11.00am Jack Reither 11.20am Callum Watson 11.30am Samantha Leskarac 11.40am India Porter 12.00pm Maddison Neilson 12.10pm Isabel Thompson 12.20pm Ella Linnell LUNCH 1.25pm May Fox 1.35pm Jack Van Looy 1.45pm Daniel Rolfe 2.00pm Stacey Godfrey 2.10pm 2.20pm Cohen Mawson 2.30pm 2.40pm James Coyne
Your oral presentations are scheduled for Monday 9th February. You need to ensure that you have completed your proforma (this was part of your holiday homework, so should be completed) and have had it approved by your teacher by Thursday 5th February. This will give you the weekend to edit and rehearse.
You will need to book in a time to complete your oral. You will need to be at the conference room 10 minutes prior to your allocated time. If you need to leave another class to do this, please inform your teacher at the beginning of the lesson. Any questions, please see Ms Ilyine or Miss Kelly. |
